Adeboye to Nigerians: help law enforcement agents to defeat terrorists
The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has urged Nigerians to support  and cooperate with law enforcement agents to ensure lasting peace.
Pastor Adeboye spoke yesterday at the ‘Let’s Go a fishing’ programme organised by the RCCG, Region One held at the CMD field, Magodo, Lagos mainland.
The programme brought together thousands of Christian faithful from across Lagos. It featured thanksgiving, bible teaching and prophetic ministration.
According to him, the success achieved by the military in tackling insurgency in part of the country is commendable and can be sustained through intelligence gathering mechanism put in place by security operatives .
Pastor Adeboye said  Boko Haram insurgency was an internal insecurity problem that can be curtailed through a transparent partnership arrangement between the local people and the security operative.
He said: “Let us do our best to cooperate with law enforcement agencies  by volunteering vital information that would be investigated upon and crime and any form of criminality will be reduce in our society”.
He urged Nigerians to “harmonise our cultural, tribal and religious differences and ensure adequate security of lives and properties is very germane for our wellbeing”.
Pastor Adeboye, who spoke through the Provincial Pastor of Lagos Province 12, Pastor Ola Adejubee, asserted that peace is the desire of any good citizens in any nation, but can be sustained through the channel of the holy ghost, repentance from evil and pleasing God at all times.
He lamented that many people are religious but they live their lives at variance with God’s words and expect to have peace, said “we must play our part by repenting of our sines and live a life that pleases God”.
He cited King Solomon who throughout his kingship never fought a battle, “Jesus is the prince of peace and he has the ability to reinforce peace when we do his will,” he said.
The wife of the Regional Pastor of Lagos Province 1 of RCCG, Pastor Rachel Odesola, appealed to individuals being persecuted for their faith to take solace in Christ “who is our rock, defender buckler and shield”.

Woman slams police for making her lose her job...what the police replied her on Facebook will surprise you

A woman Christy Carter was stopped by police from the Owasso police department in Oklahoma for over speeding and according to her, the officer who stopped her insisted on keeping her there for 19 minutes, causing her to miss the start of her shift and lose her job. Christy, unhappy with her job loss gave the Owasso Police Department a one star rating on Facebook.

She accused the police of wasting too much of her time, hence she arrived late for her work shift and asked if the policeman who delayed her will help pay for her rent and car repayments saying she could be homeless. The Owasso Police Department gave a stunning reply to her claims on Facebook.

Instead of agreeing with her version of events, the police department gave a very different description of what happened.

"Interesting take on the event Christy, your claims are very serious but more alarmingly very false. "You were stopped for travelling 57mph in a 45mph zone which received you a warning. "You failed to keep insurance on your vehicle which is cause for your vehicle to be towed. "The very generous police officer allowed you time enough to contact your insurance agency by phone and update your insurance policy by phone. "[This] you did and were then allowed to leave." The reply continued: "So, to sum up, this officer gave you a warning for speeding, didn't tow your car and allowed you to contact your insurance to update your policy. "Was there anything else this officer could have done for you? Perhaps you meant to score our review higher?"

The Ogun State Police Command says its operatives attached to Sagamu Division intercepted a truck loaded with vandalised Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) in Sagamu area of the state on December 27, Channelstv reports.

A press statement by the spokesman for the command, Muyiwa Adejobi, said the Police operatives acted on a tip-off which led to the arrest of one of the vandals named Elochukwu Byron. However, other suspects escaped.

According to Mr. Adejobi, the suspect and the exhibits would be transferred to the Department of Criminal Investigation and Intelligence, in Eleweran Abeokuta, for further investigation on the directive of the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State, Abdulmajid Ali.

Mr Ali has also put all officers and men of the command on their toes to make sure that pipelines and installations are adequately protected, particularly during a period of fuel crisis like the one being witnessed across Nigeria.

The Commissioner warned that many of the hoodlums would want to seize the opportunity to perpetrate their criminal act of economic sabotage.

Dethroned Benue beauty queen speaks out, accuses organizers of stealing money donated to her by a former minister

Finest Girl in Benue 2015, Miss Paulyn Agbo who was dethroned barely a month after she was crowned for alleged "lack of decorum, deceit and defamation of character" has spoken out for the first time. According to a statement issued by the organizers of the pageant, Dumas Events, the beauty queen breached contract agreement by organizing a victory dinner in Abuja without recognizing them. Idoma Voice reports that when Miss Agbo was confronted, she hired thugs to beat up the organizers claiming she had no contractual agreement with them.

In a statement released by the former beauty queen, she accused the organizers of theft, lying and also denied hiring thugs to beat anybody up. Read the full statement below:

“It all started when I organized my victory dinner party at NAF Conference Center Abuja, with the help of my uncle Spitz Josef who helped in the planning, all expenses for the dinner was from my pocket. I rented the VIP hall at NAF for 350,000 not including the food and drinks, I roughly spent close to 600,000 from my pocket.
“After the dinner the only cash realised was that of the former Minister of Interior (Comrade Abba Moro) which was 250,000 aside pledges, because of the trust I had for the organization, Dumas events, the money was collected by them from the former minister. At the end of the event, they vanished with the money leaving me stranded, as I was yet to balance NAF for food drinks, DJ and MC.
“All effort to reach them on phone proved abortive, the only conversation they managed to have with me was they are not having any conversation till the next day. “I was held up by the military men at NAF because I didn’t finish making payments, I had to call the Hon former Minister because I introduced them to him on his arrival which the President (of Dumas Events) sat with him all through the event.
He called them and they agreed to return back, when they returned, they were only coming for negotiations and not to bring any money, all efforts by the security men pleading to save me and bring back the money so I could pay the bills proved abortive as Mr Clef Obida, the Dumas event manager refused to listen to men on uniform who were only there to maintain peace. I, Miss Paulyn Naths couldn’t have hired any thugs to beat anybody up.
“The money was later collected from them and I settled the bills and we all dispatched, even though I lost so much I was happy as the essence of it was just for my victory, since that day I never heard from DUMAS until today.
“For the records I have witnesses, the event brochure carried every info about Dumas Events, I never fronted any other organization. Amongst those who witnessed this incidence is Spitz Josef, Ehi Eje and Mark Owi.”

Have you read Tyrese Gibson's open letter to Donald Trump?

The singer and actor shared this on his Facebook page yesterday. Read below
"This really breaks my heart...... And inspires me at the same time....... The Muslim community decided to come together and pray in front of the #TrumpTowers in NYC - Open note to Trump.... He has no idea of what's about to happen......... He has mastered the art of winning #Battles..... But he's for sure going to lose the #War.... The antics and the gimmicks look good and feel good right? Got you really thinking your doing it right?
......... But when it's really time? #WATCH America show you how we #REALLY feel...... And we're not talking about manipulated pole numbers....... United we stand.... Together we fall...... You've offended my #Muslim community, and created racial boundaries and set my people up for hate crimes and to be targeted for bigotry because of the "acts" of some.... Islam is PEACE..... THE ACTS OF SOME of ANY GROUP doesn't justify you spreading hate towards ALL of my people in the Muslim and or Arab community.... I'm deeply hurt and bothered by your antics and hatred towards my Muslim and Arab people.... You've offended my Latin community, you've offended my african American community - You will see........ This is NOT how you make America great again...... This is for sure the most narcissistic self and family sabotage filled presidential campaign I've ever witnessed in my lifetime....... It's going to take forever for your daughter who I think is brilliantly smart to recover from the land mines......... I feel bad for anyone in this country right now with the last name #Trump - when it's all said and done and the smoke clears.... You will remember what I said....... This is NOT how you make America great again...... I'm speaking on behalf of the #Human and all religious and spiritual and sexual preferences you must be and will be stopped - #VotesDontLie the real people of America is going to show up and stop you when it counts the most... #votingday
